Hi, we are being asked to figure out which two cannot both be out. I would start by looking for answer choices that include options whose being out would tell us something about the game. I would then start with q or k, since q being out knocks f out, and k being out knocks g out.
We have an answer choice with both q and k, so let's try that. If both q and k are out, then we already have four out, q k f g, but we also know that not both m and p can be in, so one of those must be out. Thus in our outs, we have q f g k m/p. This cannot happen, since only four would be in. So, c is correct.
