End point

The answer explanation uses the term “end point” to point out the authors statement “self-knowledge is not so easily obtained. What do you mean by “end point” and how does that relate to the conclusion or logical reasoning in general? Also am i suppose to post questions under the “recent” or “active” tab? Thank you.
