@nizhoni, This is a tricky question, and it certainly makes sense that most students would think of a testimony as a sworn statement made in court, but testimony is generally understood broadly as any evidence given in a form of a statement. For instance, one legal definition is as follows: "testimony means “a statement in any form, including personal appearances before a court or other legal tribunal, interviews, depositions, telephonic, televised, or videotaped statements or any responses given during discovery or similar proceeding."
