I picked E which I had ruled out, after careful consideration. I said to myself if the rescue squads were to go away, I would be thinking to myself "Oh this must not be so dangerous, obviously there is no rescue squad" I would perceive it as not being dangerous, since there is no rescue squad. I being an unexperienced hiker would see that and think oh this isn't so dangerous which would attract me and probably others to climb it unprepared thus needing to be rescued....leading to more rescues needed. Essentially the rescue squad was there for a deterrence for those who weren't prepared.

    I think there's an even stronger argument working in the opposite direction. While someone could think that, it seems more likely that a person would see a rescue squad as something conveying safety, not danger. It's akin to a lifeguard: if I see a beach with no lifeguard I don't assume it's necessarily safe to swim. But rather emergency personnel can lull inexperienced people into a false sense of security
