Additionally, causation flaws are commonplace on Weaken questions in both RC and LR, so we should be especially mindful of those.The experiment in the last paragraph involves activating radio-controlled titmouse dummy birds with broad and narrow stripes when a real titmouse approaches (P5, S2-3). Activating a dummy with a narrower stripe led the real bird behaving aggressively, while activating a dummy with a broader stripe led to the real bird behaving submissively or not approaching at all (P5, S4-5).The author assumes there is a causal relationship between the width of the dummy's breast stripe and the reaction of the real bird. The author assumes the narrower stripes caused dominant behavior and the wider stripes caused submissive behavior.
