I chose B because of the conclusion indicator. Why is D the answer? Please explain thoroughly.

Hi @evelynakinyemi,
Thanks for the question! I’m not sure what conclusion indicator you see in (B), since those tend to be statements like “thus” or “therefore,” which I don’t see in (B). But sometimes, the conclusion indicators will be sneaky, and point to subsidiary conclusions and not main conclusions, and so you still need ot understand the passage as a whole.
So this argument is saying that there’s no good reason to think that creativity is a proper goal of a training program. Why? Well, it then lists out the reasons. So basically, we have
Statement. Reasons, reasons.
Then “statement” is going to be the conclusion, because other things support the statement! And here, we’re hit with the statement at the beginning of the stimulus, and so (D) is the correct answer since it’s basically the first sentence.
Hope this helps! Feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.

Hi Shunhe! The conclusion indicator I was talking about is at the end of the stimulus. Lol. Sorry I wasn't clear about that. Thank you for your response!

Ah, yes. "Furthermore" doesn't necessarily indicate conclusions. It can also indicate premises, since it basically means "and also." Glad I could help.
