Where is the evidence in passage A that supports answer choice C's assertion that passage A describes griots as being of a high status in society? I could not find that evidence.

    Hello @hkolon, Take a look at line 8 in Passage A: "They too, these traditions and transformed them into song, and as a result often enjoyed great status in their communities." Author B would dispute this, stating that the griot were of the lowest possible subcaste.
