How is this statement considered evidence ?

This seems to happens to me quiet often, I notice the LSAT incorporates the word evidence into a lot of it questions. When I think of evidence in the natural world. I think of statistics, data, Cited info, Numbers or proof. How are we suppose to define the term evidence on the LSAT because I notice this word is used interchangeably it seems at least to me. Any advise on how to bifurcate evidence from just support ?

    Hi, evidence is just a fact that supports a statement, or in other words, a premise. For questions that are asking about argument structure, I wouldn't sweat the exact nature of the thing in question (evidence, premise, fact in support, statement that supports all mean effectively the same thing) and focus on whether the thing being described is a premise, conclusion, or something else, like context.
