Why is C incorrect ? Isn't the columnist trying to explain why live is richer than recorded music, even though he did refute the explanation that we see the performers? What makes E better than C?

    @alva, (C) is incorrect because the columnist's argument concerns the explanation for this phenomenon, not the phenomenon itself. He never attempts to explain why live performance is richer, he merely argues that an explanation that it is due to seeing the performers live must be wrong. (E) correctly points out that that the columnist tries to undermine the position/ explanation, i.e. live performance is richer due to seeing the performers, that purports to explain the observation that attending a live musical performance is a richer experience.
