Is E the correct answer because the last sentence can be interpreted as adopting a polarizing attitude?

    @Minerva, The commentator criticizes Roehmer's column because she "impugns the motives of her adversaries," and then in the same paragraph impugns her motives saying that "her column is just an attempt to please her loyal readers."
