Could someone explain why answer choice B is incorrect? Thank you.

Happy to help. Let's look at (B).
(B) says, "Passage A uses it as an example of an activity that
compensates for the market's lack of transparency, whereas passage B
uses it as an example of an activity whose viability is conditional
upon the transparency of the market."
The problem with (B) is that the first half of it doesn't work because
Passage A does not discuss transparency in the market at all in it. As
a result, we can get rid of (B).
(D) says, "Passage A presents it as comparable to the acquisition of
inside information, whereas passage B contrasts it with the
acquisition of inside information."
Both of the passages believe that superior stock analysis is a
positive thing. Passage A presents it as comparable to receiving
inside information, but Passage B contrasts it to insider knowledge,
so (D) captures the relationship well and is the correct answer
choice.
