Could you please provide an explanation as to why (B) was a better choice than (E)? I'm failing to draw the conclusion accurately from the longer arguments in general and this question is no exception.

@awashing the problem with (E) is that it is too strong. Madden's situation illustrates that in this case of farming, industrialists' strategy usually leads to oversimplification, but that is not the same thing as fundamentally flawed.
Madden's situation best illustrates (B), "The problems of farming should be viewed in all their complexity," as opposed to the oversimplification typical of industrialists.

@ndn8 From the prompt, we know that farmers are at least better than industrialists at solving farming problems, but we don't necessarily know that farmers are better than everyone else at doing so. This is why C is't the best option.
