Let's compare it to (A) and (B) People support logging -> most think it reduces fire risk. A does not think it will reduce the risk A opposes logging This flawed reasoning pattern is identical to the stimulus. (B) People expect an increase -> most think it is a good reason for a school B does not expect an increase B does not favor a new school This is also a flawed reasoning pattern but it is clearly different from the stimulus, as it attempts to negate the antecedent instead.
