Maybe I'm confusing myself with the abstract wording in the AC . I would appreciate an explanation on this question.

Hi @SeonAh-Lee, After reading the stimulus, we should realize that the first sentence is the conclusion of the argument. The first sentence follows from the following sentences, which tell us that a warm atmosphere leads to hotter oceans, leading to more evaporation, leading to quicker formation of rain clouds. Warmer atmospheres also lead to larger clouds, which lead to heavier downpours. What role does the claim in question play? It's one of these logical steps; in other words, it supports the only conclusion of the argument, the first sentence. Note that other than the conclusion itself, none of these premises need support from any of the others. They can all stand alone. We know, therefore, that there are no intermediate conclusions in this argument. Hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions that might help clear things up.

The statement provides direct support for the conclusion, the fact that bigger could lead to heavier rainfall directly supports the idea that something that leads to bigger clouds will lead to heavier rainfall.
