Can you please explain why D is correct? I eliminated it because of lines 46-49: "this redistribution increases the rotational acceleration of the mantle, causing friction and turbulence near the outer core–mantle boundary and initiating a reversal of the magnetic field." Thank you!

    Hi Mayatassi, That part of the passage is talking about circulation in the mantle and the outer core, which are not the oceans.
