What is the difference between C and E?

The answers seems the same to me, can you explain how they are different?

    C means that it would take one of the claims that the author used to support their conclusion, and then elaborated further on what it would mean if that claim were true. E means that the author would agree with something that might hurt their argument, but then turns it around to support the argument.
