Could someone please explain this?

For this question I'd check out lines 60-end. This is where they specifically state what future studies could look at. A) way too broad - not even medicine specific B) looks good, in the passage they say "information about ... the control of medical knowledge could add much to our growing understanding... " L63-66. C) Nothing in the passage to justify this, also not specific to women practitioners D) Too narrow - we're concerned with why and how women became medical practitioners in spite of restrictions. Not just why they are called midwives. E) Tempting, but also too broad because it doesn't specify anything about medicine. Hope this helps, feel free to follow up.
