    Hi, the argument is showing examples of ways the dinosaurs are more similar to present day non reptiles (namely birds) than they are to present day reptiles. That is, it is arguing that one last phenomenon (dinosaurs) is more similar to one present phenomenon (non reptiles) than it is to another present phenomenon (reptiles).
