Hello! Under what circumstance are we allowed to select an answer choice that brings in new information (information not found in the stimulus)?

Hi, we are allowed to do this when the question asks "which of the following, IF TRUE, would XYZ" which includes strengthen, weaken, sufficient assumption, necessary assumption, paradox, and a few other questions. Generally, it's the "if true" that tells us the answer choices are new info that would do something (eg weaken or strengthen) to an argument.
