Hi LSAT Max, I originally chose (B) as my answer but was wondering if lines 36-38 would support answer choice (D). Thanks in advance!

    @Julie, That's correct, the question specifically asks which was a factor in acceptance by the HOSPITALS. The hospitals accepted women as physicians because they could attend to female patients without offending the conventions of modesty. (B) is incorrect because even though foreign mission societies supplied the funding that helped more women to become missionaries, it fails to explain the acceptance by the hospitals.
