Please explain why E is incorrect.

I chose E on this question as it seems to follow the authors viewpoint in the passage. Looking back on it would it be incorrect because of the word "primarily"? I guess the branching of trees could probably be applied to more than solution in the technological world.

    Hi @camerongreen13, You are absolutely right. The word "primarily" immediately raises some red flags in my mind. Think of it this way. (E) is saying "the NUMBER ONE MOST IMPORTANT use of tree branching is for computers to map oil flow. Really? This is the absolute most useful thing? When you think of it this way it becomes apparent that there could very well be a bunch of other more useful ways to use tree branching. Mapping oil flow is just one of them. Hope this helps!
