Hi @Lucas, If we look at the last paragraph, we can see the uses of re-creation of ancient techniques. One was to show that pieces of clay once thought to be useless were actually loom weights. Another was to speculate which statue of Athena wore a certain dress (lines 50-54). This is what (E) tells us, and so (E) is the correct answer. Hope this helps!
