Sequence Chains

Hello Everyone, I just wanted clarification on the sequencing chains that we created when engaging in sequencing questions. I notice that when there are two variables that have no relation/an unknown relation, does this mean that each of these variables' positions in a sequence can be swappable?

    Hi @Max.Romero, When two variables have no direct relationship, we don’t know which of the two pieces comes first. However, this doesn’t mean that their positions are swappable because they may have different relationships with the other variables. Consider this hypothetical: A is before B B is before C C is before D E is before D This would diagram as follows: A - B - C - D E- D A and E have no direct relationship, so A could potentially be before or after E. For example, each of the following would be acceptable. A B C E D E A B C D However, we can’t just swap the letters. Take the first example again: A B C E D If we swapped E and A we would have: E B C A D Which doens’t work because A is supposed to be before B and C.

    Where is the video explanation to this question? I don't understand why the answer is Malloy. I looked at my variable and base set up and it's the same as the other videos.

    He, this cannot be M because M is after F, and F is after I, and I is after K. Since K, I, and M must all be before M, m cannot be third
