Hi LSAT Max,
Would the collapse of the movement be justified by lines 44-45 when it mentions that speaking in established vocabularies diminished the ability for the movement to resist suppression?

That's correct. Women used either used the established vocabularies of certain intellectual or political traditions or adopted a vocabulary and a violently extremist viewpoint when allied with Jacobin men. Both of these instances of "speaking in borrowed voices" proved damaging to the women's movement.
