Hi LSAT Max, Would the collapse of the movement be justified by lines 44-45 when it mentions that speaking in established vocabularies diminished the ability for the movement to resist suppression? Thanks!

    @Julie, That's correct. Women used either used the established vocabularies of certain intellectual or political traditions or adopted a vocabulary and a violently extremist viewpoint when allied with Jacobin men. Both of these instances of "speaking in borrowed voices" proved damaging to the women's movement.
