Hi LSAT Max,
Could you explain why (D) over (B)? I think I understand why (D) would be the better answer, but some clarity would be great.

The first paragraph merely talks about the treatment of women's participation in the revolutionary events by the historians and indicates a recent change evinced by the studies of Landes, Badinter, Godineau. There is no discussion of any findings of these studies, they are mentioned purely for their nuanced treatment of women's participation as compared to earlier studies. This fact allows us to eliminate (B).
