It doesn't say specifically that these practices are safe, but the fact that this substance is given to patients by medical professionals is enough for us to make that inference. We don't need each passage to address both humans and marine organisms. This is why B is correct. It takes half from Passage A and half from Passage B.

I know It states about how humans can ingest barite and does not have a real effect on humans; however, the question is asking what can be inferred from both passages together, not just one alone. The correct answer choice is only mentioned in passage A so what from passage B backs this up to be the correct answer choice?
