Why D is incorrect?

Hi LSAT MAX, I was confusing between D and E when I was doing it. I understand why E is correct, but I'm wondering can anyone explain why D is incorrect? Thanks!

The author discusses the Dynamics of Folklore in the context of the shifting focus from exclusively male to female folk performers (lines13-27). (D) is too broad in saying that it "presents an example of the new emphasis in folklore studies on the performer..," the new emphasis on the performer has been observed in the studies from the early 1970s (lines 7-8), but this recent book is specifically cited for its focus on women folk performers.
