Why is D correct?

Hi, we find this in the third paragraph. The author tells us there that mainstream Mexican literature is concentrated in Mexico City, and the literary establishment there has an outside influence on what is successful, mostly cosmopolitan works. We are also told that this establishment views Mexican American literature as a regional genre.
