Level of Difficulty of Passages

I know that the third game of logic games is normally the most difficult, so I was wondering if the LSAC takes the difficulty of the passages into consideration and puts ones that are easier to comprehend with more difficult ones (like this one, in my opinion) or if they are generated randomly?

Hi @Kaitlyn, I personally have not noticed a particular order of difficulty, but I have done a bit of research on the most challenging passages, and it appears that none of them were first - all of them appeared either second, third, or forth, suggesting there is no clear pattern in terms of difficulty aside from the first passage commonly being fairly easy. I also think that the difficulty level of RC is quite subjective and depends on your familiarity with the subject - for example, I had no issues with legal/ scientific passages but found literature ones more confusing. Good luck with your studies and let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks Irina! Some of the passages I find painfully boring and have a hard time staying engaged in. I am nervous about taking the LSAT on a tablet because it seems like it would be difficult to write small mental notes to the side since it is not a test of pencil and paper anymore.

@Kaitlyn, If you have any questions about strategies for completing RC on a tablet, I would encourage you to check out our LSATMax Reading Comp Office Hours or our Instagram Lives. I would also encourage you to utilize our digital format to practice. The more you practice without pencil and paper, the more familiar you'll feel. Best of luck with your studies and let us know if you have any other questions!
