I thought it might be D because of the last sentence, that it was the underlying focus of the research and it was suggesting other effects that may be useful indicators. Could you elaborate on this please! Thank You!

    Hi there, can someone answer this, please? I narrowed it down to D and E. I did read Naz's explanation, and I understand the reasons for each choice. Still, the last sentence of the passage persuaded me to D, thus evading E. I gather the final paragraph is usually the author speaking, and the final sentence is a suggestion from the author. How does E outplay D?
