why is it making us read from 52-55 if the answer is on lines 49-55. this doesn't make sense.

Why would I read lines that where not asked to read? Im just trying to follow instructions, but the instructions contradict itself. This is not a smart way to teach us how to answer this type of questions

Hi @diegoC, this is a tricky tactic that reading comp loves. The question is not asking "what do lines 52-55 say." Rather it is asking us (and I'm paraphrasing here) "the passage gives us reason to believe XYZ thing ABOUT lines 52-55." We are looking for something the passage tells us about those lines, rather than what the passage tells us within those lines. Generally speaking, when a question asks about a specific line number, it is important to understand the context and relevance of the content on those lines rather than just those lines in a vacuum.
