I chose B at first, then unfortunately went to C. Why is C the correct answer? The author of the first passage is a teacher and it mentions the author's teaching experience in line 5, but in passage 2, isn't the profession lawyer? The author of passage B seems to be a teacher too

@Ashley-Tien The author in passage A mentions teaching and refers to conferences of historians as "we," so we can reasonably conclude the author is a member of the academic historian profession. For passage B, the author appears to be a law professor, meaning they're a member of the legal profession. They also refer to other lawyers as "our future colleagues." We can safely pick B, noting that both are members of their respective professions.
