I had a hard time following the logic in the passage and could not articulate the flaw. Could you help me understand this question?

    Why is A wrong? Thanks

A actually is the right answer here. The passage tells us that it is an incorrect definition of perception to describe it as a relationship between a person and an object that causes the person to believe something about the object. The reason for rejecting this definition is that people have beliefs about many ideas that are not objects. This is no reason to reject the definition. Just because we have other beliefs domes not mean we can't define a certain subset of beliefs in a certain way.
