I don't understand what this question is asking and what is the correct answer

    @maonuo, The question is asking us what is the purpose of the author's mentioning Dove's experience in Germany. Why is this detail a part of the passage? The author tells us that in Germany, she observed no segregation between literary genres. This experience is mentioned in the context of discussing Dove's background, starting with her childhood where she equally enjoyed both genres, and citing her experience studying in Germany as further reinforcing this belief that poetry and fiction should not be rigidly separated as (B) states.
