Why is E wrong? I think E also makes sense.

    I don't think the paragraph describes the sources of evidence mentioned earlier, it provides new evidence. The former would looks like "the above mentioned fact was found in scroll X and in mural Y" which is not what we see here. Instead we introduce new evidence.
