I don't see how answer choice C is not the main point. Answer choice A seems very generic and doesn't talk about the issues mentioned between Poets and Fiction writers in the US. Could you please explain to me why C is wrong.

To explain why (C) is incorrect because it says that using lyrical language can enhance narrative fiction. But the main point of this passage is not to talk about how elements of poetry (i.e., lyrical language) can enhance or improve narrative fiction. Rather, the main point of this passage is summarized in answer choice (E): that Rita Dove's successful blending of poetry and fiction (textual support: entire last paragraph) exemplifies the recent trend away from the rigid separation of the two genres (textual support: lines 21-24 "Fortunately, there are signs that the bias .. . is diminishing . . .
