Why is C not an option for a correct answer?

Since rule #5 tells us that Shigeru ranks lower than Oliver but higher than Maricella, that would make the order O > S > M. So Oliver also couldn't be ranked the lowest, correct?

@MissBoss03 that is not correct.
Rule 5 states: If Maricella plays tennis, then Shigeru play tennis, Shigeru ranking lower than Oliver but higher than Maricella.
We would diagram this rule as follows:
Mt âž¡ï¸ St (O > S > M)
not St (i.e. Sg) âž¡ï¸ not Mt (i.e. Mg)
So, you are correct that if M plays tennis, then O cannot rank lowest for tennis.
However, what if M does not play tennis?
