If Hannah spends at least two days in each city, couldn't she be there longer? Why couldn't she have stayed in two cities, four days each in country X?

    I initially asked the same question though the answer lies in the rule that 6 cities are visited. 8 days spent in X only allows for 6 days and a max of 3 cities visited in either Y or Z. Thus if only 2 cities were visited in X at 4 days a city, there would be 4 cities at 2 days a piece with a total of 8 days required. Since 8 of the 14 total days have already been used, the 6 remaining days would not be sufficient time to visit 4 remaining cities in either Y or Z to complete the established 6 total cities visited in 14 days.

    If you notice on the right hand side of the screen in the video explanation, in gray is the word "possibilities." This shows the three different numerical distributions of cities to countries. Since rule #3 tells us "Hannah visits at least one city in each of the three countries," we can have a distribution of either: 4-1-1, 3-2-1, or 2-2-2 in each country (totaling 6 cities). Now, since rule #4 states, "She spends at least two days in each city she visits," we must then multiply the minimum of two days for each of the city distributions we have: 8-2-2, 6-4-2 or 4-4-4 (totaling 12 days). The stimulus tells us that Hannah spends a total of 14 days, exclusive of travel time in the six cities, which means we have two extra days to work with in each distribution. Now, let's look at your scenario: Hannah visits two cities in country X, staying four days in each (totaling eight days in country X). That places us with four more cities to visit and only six days left. Now remember rule #4? Every city will be visited for at least TWO days. So we have four cities left, meaning we need, at minimum, eight days left to satisfy rule #4. But, since we've already used up eight days in country X, we only have six days left. That means one of the cities will not satisfy rule #4. Hope that was helpful! Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    I'm sure I am totally missing this, but here's my setup/logic: 14 days | 6 cities | min. 2 days per city | at least 1 city per country Why does this not work? Days: 8 3 3 (Total: 14 days - Criteria met) Cities: 4 1 1 (Total: 6 cities - Criteria met) Countries: X Y Z (At least 1 city per country - Criteria met) Thank you!
