Hi @christinea303,
Thanks for the question! So we know that L is on both end aisles now, and we have to find the answer choice that cannot be true. So if there’s even a single way to construct one of the answer choices, it’s not going to be the correct one for this question. So now, let’s see if it’s possible to put O as the only aisle between the two aisles that J stocks. We know that L is on both ends and K is in 2 (from rule 2).
L K _ _ _ _ _ _ L
Now we have to see if we can put O between the two Js. Well, we know that O has to be higher than both of K’s aisles, so let’s try putting O in aisle 7, surrounded by J.
L K _ _ _ J O J L
Then let’s put M K M in the remaining portion to satisfy the rule about K being the only aisle between the two aisles that Manny stocks.
L K M K M J O J L
And as we can see, this satisfies all the rules, including the new one. And so (C) is possible, and so can’t be the answer for this question.
Hope this helps! Feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.

Hi, I understand the set up you made above- LKMKMJOJL but is it also possible to do LKJMKMOJL? And is it necessary?

I have the same question! How is D wrong?

I agree. I chose D because it can be: LKJMKMOJL.
Can you let us know how we are incorrect?

The problem with D is that K stocks aisles 2 and 4 in one of the scenarios. We could have L stocking aisles 1 and 9, J's two aisle and O's one aisle could be in 6, 7, and 8 (JOJ). This is why D would work, so it cannot be the correct answer on a cannot be true question.
Here's the board I'm referencing that would work with the parameters D is giving us:
LKMKMJOJL
