How is the order completely determined if N is before I? I am finding that you are still unsure as to how to order K and L-N. For example, if it is completely determined there is only one solution. But I can easily organize the following 2:
LNKIFMGJH
AND
KLNIFMGJH
In both scenarios you find N before I

Don't forget the base setup we have drawn out from all of our rules. Your first scenario: "LNKIFMGJH" goes against rule #1: "K's salary is greater than both I's and L's."
Your second scenario: "KLNIFMGJH" is the only one that works.
When N's salary is greater than I's, we know that "L>N" comes immediately before "I>F." We've established that K has the largest salary.
So we start with K. We know that K's salary is greater than both I's and L's. We also know that L's salary is greater than N's. And answer choice (D) tells us that N's salary is greater than I's.
This makes the second greatest salary L's and so on: K>L>N>I>F>M>G>J>H. This chain abides by all the rules and answer choice (D).
