O confused

The question states that O live EAST of M but I don't see the that in your video diagram. Did the question mean DIRECTLY EAST or just somewhere east of M? If so, why doesn't the question state that??? I'm confused :(

    @Mia6 it means that the "Owens live east of the Muirs." This is written out as M > O and in the subsequent hypothetical M appears third, while O must appear fifth, sixth or seventh.
