Sequencing game?

@angie, Great question. "Linear" games and "sequencing" games essentially mean the same thing, as they indicate that the game has a row of pieces that go in some sort of order. For studying purposes, I'd consider these to fall under the same category of games. Does this make sense? Let us know if you have any more questions!
