Answer Choice C

While I understand the answer choice I decided (E) was more out of scope, I still have a hard time accepting C as the correct answer. My thought process in not choosing C was that just because they are from two different eras, does not necessarily mean they have different interpretations. Am I thinking too deeply into it?
