Why wouldn't it be
EPA-some-Ssj
To conclude:
Ssj-some-Not EPA
I get its rather illogical however this is the word for word break down.
Now where does not come in other then in the conclusion?

Hi @DonChris
I’m happy to try to help. I think your setup is basically correct — the logical error can be expressed as minority X -> Y, therefore some Y -> not X.
The “not†in answer A is a sneaky way to express “minority†in the same fashion as the argument in the stem.
What I mean by that is, note what answer A says: Most scholars are not motivated by a desire to win prestigious academic prizes. (Doesn’t that mean that a minority of scholars ARE motivated by a desire to win prestigious academic prizes?)
And for the conclusion: Thus, some of those who want to win prestigious academic prizes are not scholars.
And so the flawed reasoning lines up! Minority of scholars are motivated by a desire to win prizes, thus some of those who want to win prizes are not scholars - the same flawed reasoning as the question stem. Does that help? Please let me know if I can help further.
