Hello, I got this question correct, but it took me much longer than the 1:20 allotted. Do you have any tips that would allow us to automatically rule out answer choices on this one thus decreasing the time spent getting to the correct answer? Thanks in advance!

@jebharter, Great question. I recommend figuring out as much as you can before looking at the answer choices. Since this is a must be true question, there are deductions you can make from the stimulus. In this stimulus, we have a series of conditional statements SC - >/PS SH - >/PS PS - >I and G (/I or /G - >/PS) I - some - A We can combine all of these together PS - >I - some - A PS - >/SC PS - >/SH PS - >G This diagram shows us what we can deduce from the conditional statements in the stimulus and will allow us to parse through the answer choices quickly. (E) says, "Some countries that are in favor of a greater role for the United Nations in moderating regional disputes are not located in the southern hemisphere." We can conclude (E) by combining the two "all" statements PS - >G PS - /HS G - some - /HS Thus, (E) is the correct answer choice. I recommend figuring out as much as possible before looking at the answers so that the wrong answer choices are easily identifiable as incorrect and the correct answer choice jumps out to you. Also, you'll find that there will be questions in which there is only one major inference to figure out, and that inference ends up being the correct answer. Doing this work up front will help you save time on these types of questions. Does this make sense? Let us know if you have any other questions!

Hi @Ravi, I'm wondering how we can combine PS --> I and I --some-- A into PS --> I --some-- A I thought the arrow had to point away from the quantifier. If we had PS --> I, we could only convert it into either not I --> not PS or I --some-- PS which isn't combinable with I --some A Thanks.
