If I’m understanding it correctly, it seems like you’re diagramming deceit —> rottenness effective politicians —> rotten but that’s not exactly what the statement is saying. The statement is saying “if X, then Y” (we can leave out the bit about the “I believe” for now). In other words, it’s actually deceit is a quality of rottenness —> effective politicians are rotten Hope this helps! Feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.

Hi @Shunhe Now that you mention that, it seems that's the problem I've been coming across with when going through the stimulus. I usually end up doing something completely different because I diagram every "if" and "all" statements, but from what you're saying is that I don't have to diagram those statements all the time. Would you be able to explain how to get better at doing this?
