Diagramming E

I diagrammed E as: 1st sentence: SP - some - P 2nd (since): S - P 3rd (All): S - SP Why wouldn't you diagram the first part of the sentence until the comma, like I did "Some short poems are..."? SP - some P Why is "All sonnets are short..." the first premise? Where am I getting mixed up? When I was diagramming the answers I automatically cancelled A&B. I diagrammed C and saw where that was wrong, but could possibly be the answer. But am really confused on diagramming answer choice E. Thank you for the help.

    @Kellan as shown in the video explanation, (E) would be diagrammed as follows: Premise: " . . . since some Sonnets are characterized by such pluralism, . . . " S-some-TP TP-some-S Premise: " . . . and all sonnets are short poems." S ==> SP not SP ==> not S Conclusion: "Some short poems are thematically pluralistic, . . . " SP-some-TP TP-some-SP This is a valid conclusion as follows: TP-some-S ==> SP TP-some-SP SP-some-TP Remember, the order is irrelevant to the logical structure of the argument. Hope that helps!
