C doesn’t seem like the perfect answer

Why wouldn’t the computer just offer a trial version of XYZ? That prevents the bootlegger from absorbing the computer company’s profit and allows the consumer to try it. That’s where my mind went when I read it. Is it still wrong in that circumstance?

Hi AndrewArabie,
This is the correct answer for a consultant who is asked what the company should do. However, we are only being asked why the company might have done something. That is we are explaining why something happened rather than telling someone what they should have done. C is not the perfect solution to the company's predicament, but it does answer the question that we are asked.
