“without” and “unless

When I saw the words, “without” and “unless” I diagrammed the phase(s) after the word as the necessary condition and the other part as sufficient (and negated). I still ended up getting this question right but should I be diagramming it as it is explained by @Naz? Thank you.

    I'm not sure how Naz explained it, but you can diagram X unless Y the way you diagrammed it (Y-->~X), or you can diagram the contrapositive since it's logically equivalent, which would be X-->~Y, and how I assume Naz diagrammed it. Both are valid!
