Why not B?

Hey LSAT Max, I got the answer right, but I was stuck between B and E for awhile. I ultimately went with E because B was talking about a behavior, while the prompt was talking about a characteristic. Was my thought process right?

@b_theo, thanks for your question! Yes, you seem to be on the right track. Additionally, (B) does not discuss an individual case of something- like the prompt does with Tyler's house or (E) does with the Oakland roses. Instead, (B) makes a general statement about a cause-and-effect relationship. This cause-and-effect relationship is also unlike the passage, which provides additional support for the elimination of (B). Does this help? Let us know if you had additional questions!
